The Edmonton Oilers have acquired veteran forward Derick Brassard from the Philadelphia Flyers for a fourth-round pick.

Brassard, 34, has bounced around throughout his career, playing for nine teams in his career. Brassard last played in Canada during a two-year stint with the Ottawa Senators from 2016-18. Brassard had a career-high 60 points in 2014-15, highlighted by 41 assists. 

Today, the Oilers are getting depth scoring and leadership and a big body that's hard to push off the puck.
