Ottawa (11-13-5) at New Jersey (17-9-3), 7:00 pm EST

NEWARK, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Scott Clemmensen is filling in

admirably for four-time Vezina Trophy winner Martin Brodeur.

Clemmensen looks to keep rolling when the New Jersey Devils host

the Ottawa Senators on Friday.

New Jersey's season appeared to be in jeopardy when Brodeur was

lost to a left elbow injury on November 1.

Clemmensen, however, has been a pleasant surprise, posting a

9-3-1 record to keep the Devils in the thick of the Atlantic

Division race.

The 31-year-old made 23 saves during Wednesday's 5-3 triumph

over the Buffalo Sabres, collecting his ninth win in 11 starts.

Patrick Elias and captain Jamie Langenbrunner each had two

assists for New Jersey, which is 10-2-1 over its last 13

contests.

The Senators have lost four of their last five games, including

a 4-1 setback to the Atlanta Thrashers on Tuesday.

Chris Kelly had the lone goal in that one for Ottawa, which sits

in the cellar of the Northeast Division.
