Former Vancouver Canucks draft pick Connor Lockhart is suspended by the OHL and Oshawa Generals due to a police investigation.

The OHL announced Oshawa Generals player Connor Lockhart is suspended indefinitely due to a police matter.
A league statement on Wednesday said it and the Generals were made aware on Tuesday that Lockhart is under investigation by Durham Regional Police Service. The league and team suspended him "until the matter is resolved," the statement said. "This follows the team and league suspending Lockhart following a league and team code of conduct matter."
Durham police have not commented on the matter, and no details were said as to the nature of the investigation.
"Given that the matter is now under police investigation, the team and League will have no further comment at this time," the OHL's statement said.
Lockhart, 21, is a former Vancouver Canucks draft pick, being selected in the sixth round in 2021. His signing rights expired in June 2023. After playing for the Erie Otters and Peterborough Petes in the first three full seasons of his OHL career, the Petes traded Lockhart to Oshawa this season. Through 37 games this season, the forward from Ottawa, Ont., has 21 goals and 46 points.
The Generals rank second in the OHL's Eastern Conference, with a 26-17-4-2 record. They are tied with the North Bay Battalion and Brantford Bulldogs in points, with 58.
