The Arizona Coyotes have signed goaltender Connor Ingram to a three-year contract extension.

After making a trade for Sean Durzi yesterday, the Arizona Coyotes were back in business on Sunday.

The Coyotes officially announced they agreed to terms with goaltender Connor Ingram on a three-year contract extension worth an average annual value of $1.95 million. PHNX Sports' Craig Morgan, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman and PuckPedia originally reported the deal on Saturday.

The deal, which ties Ingram to Arizona through the 2026-27 NHL season, keeps the netminder off the RFA market and seemingly ensures that the Coyotes will be running back their goalie tandem from the year prior, which includes Karel Vejmelka.

Ingram did about as well as he could have last season, given the circumstances in front of him.

Tasked with playing behind a team in the midst of an aggressive tank, the second-year NHLer finished with a .907 save percentage and one shutout in 27 appearances, stopping 2.9 goals above average, according to hockey-reference.com.

With the Coyotes not expected to be contenders once again next season, Ingram will face many of the same challenges he did in 2022-23. Only, this time, he'll be doing so with the security of a three-year contract. So, there's a silver lining.
