
PEORIA, Ill. - Mathieu Darche's second goal of the game 16 seconds into overtime Friday lifted the Hamilton Bulldogs past the Peoria Rivermen 4-3 in American Hockey League action.
Darche's first goal put Hamilton (2-0-1) on the board three minutes into the first period, a power-play marker that tied the game 1-1. Ben Maxwell and Tommy Pyatt had the other goals for the Bulldogs.
Yan Stastny led the way with a goal and an assist for the Rivermen (2-2-1). His goal on a power-play with 3:06 left in regulation forced overtime.
Chris Porter and Jonas Junland had the other goals for Peoria.
Curtis Sanford earned the win for Hamilton with a 20-save performance.
Ben Bishop stopped 28 shots for the Rivermen.
