Detroit Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman made the most significant deal of the 2021 trade deadline, shipping Anthony Mantha to the Washington Capitals for a package that included Jakub Vrana and a 2021 first-round pick. With this year's March 21 deadline fast approaching, Yzerman could surprise us again by shopping another notable player.

On Tuesday, Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli updated his NHL Trade Targets list by debuting the Red Wings' left winger Tyler Bertuzzi at No. 13. He reported Yzerman has informed teams he's “open for business” and willing to listen on everyone except rookie stars Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond.

Bertuzzi, 27, surfaced in trade rumors last season before inking a two-year contract on July 31 with an annual average value of $4.75 million. He's already set a career-high with 24 goals this season and tied his career-best 48 points. With Bertuzzi signed through next season, Yzerman can afford to wait until the off-season if he doesn't receive any suitable offers by deadline day.

While Yzerman may be willing to entertain offers for most of his players, it doesn't mean he's shopping Bertuzzi or other core players. The Wings showed improvement through the first half of this season before fading from the playoff race. He could maintain his core, bolstered by off-season acquisitions, for another shot at the playoffs next season.

Yzerman could be a traditional deadline seller by shopping pending unrestricted free agents such as Marc Staal, Vladislav Namestnikov, Nick Leddy or Thomas Greiss for draft picks and prospects. However, the Mantha deal proved he's unafraid to make a major move to accelerate his club's rebuild process. The Wings GM could have another blockbuster in the works for this year's deadline.
