Double suspension standard?

Please explain time why Alex Ovechkin was not suspended for his Nov. 25th boarding of Buffalo's Patrick Kaleta, for which he was ejected by the referee, while Kaleta, ironically, was suspended for two games for the same infraction committed two days later?

Is this a double standard or what?
