ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- The Anaheim Ducks may actually be happy
that they're hitting the road.
After a dismal set of games at home, the Ducks open a two-game
road trip when they visit the St. Louis Blues on Friday.
Anaheim suffered a 6-4 loss to the Washington Capitals on
Wednesday, concluding its six-game homestand with a 2-3-1
record.
Bobby Ryan notched two goals and an assist, Ryan Getzlaf netted
a tally and set up another and Corey Perry recorded three
assists for the Ducks, who fell to 5-6-2 at Honda Center.
Anaheim has had no trouble finding victories on the road. The
Ducks have won each of their last five games away from home
since losing their first two road contests.
Anaheim has a good shot at continuing its road success against
the Blues, who have one win in November.
St. Louis fell to 1-4-2 this month after dropping a 3-2 decision
in a shootout to the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday, but lost more
than the game during the contest.
Andy McDonald, the team's leader with 18 points, left in the
first period with a fractured left leg. The 31-year-old center
is expected to miss eight weeks after an MRI performed by team
doctors in St. Louis determined that surgery will not be
required.
