EDMONTON - The Edmonton Oilers have re-signed goaltender Jeff Deslauriers to a one-year contract, the team announced Saturday.

Deslauriers was 16-28-4 last season with a 3.26 goals-against average and .901 save percentage.

The St-Jean-Richelieu, Que., native took over between the pipes after veteran netminder Nikolai Khabibulin went down with a back injury.

Deslauriers put together a season-best five-game winning streak in December, backstopping the Oilers to five consecutive road victories.

The 26-year-old was drafted by Edmonton 31st overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
