Calgary (12-9-1) at Vancouver (14-6-2) 10:00 p.m. EST

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Ticker) -- The Vancouver Canucks

look to extend a season-high four-game winning streak when they

open a home-and-home series with the Calgary Flames on Thursday.

The teams will also meet Saturday in Calgary.

In the absence of Roberto Luongo, who is week-to-week with a

groin injury, the Canucks have not missed a beat thanks to his

backup, Curtis Sanford. The goaltender has won all three of his

starts since Luongo went down, allowing just five goals.

Daniel Sedin and Sami Salo tallied a goal and an assist apiece

as the Canucks captured a 3-2 overtime victory over the Red

Wings on Monday. Salo scored the game-winner in overtime and

Sedin extended his goal-scoring streak to four.

Following the opener of the home-and-home, Vancouver hits the

road for a two-week, seven-game trip.

Rene Bourque scored a pair of goals and Curtis Glencross tallied

a goal and two assists as the Flames won for the third time in

four games with a 6-2 triumph over Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Netminder Miikka Kiprusoff has been better of late, allowing two

goals or less in three of four starts after a six-game stretch

of three goals or more.

Calgary dropped both legs of a home-and-home matchup against

Vancouver to start season with a 6-0 defeat on the road and a

5-4, overtime loss at home.
