    Debut: Nov. 14, 2009

    Vs.: Philadelphia (3-2 win)

    Ice Time: 14:13, 19 shifts

    Key Stat: one goal, plus-1

“My first game, we played the Flyers in Philadelphia. I had just been called up that day and got to the arena late. I pretty much just got there, quickly dressed and made it just in time for warmups. I had to walk through the Flyers doing their (pre-game) soccer; it was a little intimidating seeing Pronger and those guys playing soccer.

“In warmups, the guys took my helmet and hid it on me, so I had to fly around there with no helmet on. But I was lucky enough to score, so that was an added bonus.

“The puck was down in the corner and Timmy Kennedy was doing a great job down low; he took it behind the net and then threw it back to me and I kind of just walked it out. I saw that (Philadelphia goalie, Ray) Emery was sliding across and I just quickly tried to throw it there.

“During the next couple of shifts, the puck was going around the wall and me and Pronger met. I tried to hit him, but he just kind of tossed me away.”
