    HAMILTON - John Grahame made 25 saves and Mark Olver scored the winner as the Lake Erie Monsters edged the Hamilton Bulldogs 2-1 in American Hockey League action Thursday.

    Olver's winner came at 9:25 of the third period. Kevin Montgomery sent the puck along the blue-line to Joel Chouinard, who blasted a shot towards the net. Olver tipped the puck past Hamilton goalie Curtis Sanford and across the goal-line.

    Hamilton (27-14-5) had its six-game winning streak ended with the loss.

    The Monsters (23-21-7) took a 1-0 lead at 16:34 of the first period. Justin Mercier intercepted a Bulldogs passing attempt while in front of the net and fired a shot past Sanford.

    Hamilton tied the game at 11:44 of the second period. Dany Masse sent the puck to Gabriel Dumont, who blasted a shot that deflected off the stick of a Monsters player and over Grahame's blocker.

    Sanford finished with 18 saves.
