The Buffalo Sabres rookie and Montreal Canadiens youngster are both electric talents rising up in the NHL. But what do they listen to in order to get in the zone? We've got the playlists and we're breaking them down

Jack Eichel vs. Alex Galchenyuk: Who has the better pump-up music?

It's an image seen on pretty much every hockey broadcast: the player, getting ready for the game, earbuds in, eyes locked in concentration and shoulders rocking in rhythm to the music coursing through their iPod. But what are they listening to?

In the case of Buffalo's Jack Eichel and Montreal's Alex Galchenyuk, we've got the answer:

As part of Bauer Hockey's Play Explosive campaign for the Supreme 1S stick, the two young stars put together Spotify playlists of their pump-up tunes (search their names on the music service to hear all the songs). Here are the track listings:

    Jack Eichel

    GDFR – Flo Rida

    Cole World – J. Cole

So what can we parse from these selections? Well, "Pop Bottles" by Birdman (featuring Lil Wayne) appeared on both lists – perhaps no surprise since the first line is "We poppin' champagne like we just won the championship game." Eminem also gets love from both players, as does Meek Mill – which makes sense, since Meek Mill, the Sabres and Habs all have beef with the city of Toronto.

In terms of continuity, Galchenyuk is clearly a pure hip-hop head (Usher's more R & B, but whatever), while Eichel bounces between rap, dance and even a couple metal tracks. "New Noise" by Refused is simply one of the best heavy songs of the past 30 years even if its inclusion in the movie "Friday Night Lights" made it somewhat ubiquitous, while Killswitch Engage's "My Curse" is a great song to play on Guitar Hero.

So, who's got the better list?
