
MILWAUKEE - Linus Klasen and Matt Halischuk each scored twice as the Milwaukee Admirals opened their American Hockey League season with a bang Saturday, thumping the Abbotsford Heat 6-2.
Nick Spaling, with a goal and an assist, and Mark Van Guilder also scored for Milwaukee (1-0-0).
Andreas Thuresson and Teemu Laakso had two assists. Halischuk also added an assist and Mark Dekanich made 22 saves for the win.
Cam Cunning and Greg Nemisz replied for Abbotsford (1-1-0), while Leland Irving stopped 22-of-28 shots.
