San Jose (37-7-7) at Pittsburgh (26-24-5), 7:30 pm EST

PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Captain Patrick Marleau and the San Jose

Sharks will look to build off an impressive period when they

continue their season-long, five-game road trip against the

    Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday.

Marleau recorded a goal and two assists during a four-goal third

period as the Sharks skated to a 5-2 victory over the Boston

Bruins in a battle of conference leaders.

Defenseman Rob Blake, Milan Michalek, All-Star Joe Thornton and

Mike Grier also scored for the Western Conference-leading

    Sharks, who snapped a season-worst, three-game slide.

The 29-year-old Marleau, who ended a four-game goal drought, has

notched 26 tallies and 27 assists this season.

While San Jose is chasing down the Presidents' Trophy, the

Penguins are just trying to jump into the playoff picture.

The defending Eastern Conference champions are coming off a 3-0

loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday in a Stanley Cup finals

    rematch.

Since winning six consecutive games in early November,

Pittsburgh has posted a 15-20-3 record and fallen to 10th place

    in the East.
