The team introduced Zimmerman at a news conference this afternoon.
Zimmerman was named CEO of Nike Bauer Hockey in 2003 after spending four years with Nike Golf.
The New York native played hockey at the University of Vermont and was an assistant coach at Babson College while in graduate school.
He calls himself a "lifelong hockey fan."
