The OHL announced a league investigation determined Oshawa Generals player Connor Lockhart violated the league's code of conduct and ended his suspension at eight games.

Oshawa Generals player Connor Lockhart is eligible to return to action after the conclusion of a league investigation and police matter, the OHL announced Saturday.
The major junior league announced on Feb. 7 that Lockhart would be suspended indefinitely after being made aware of an investigation by Durham Regional Police Service on Feb. 6. He was ineligible to return to action until the matter was resolved. The OHL said that news followed the league and team already suspending Lockhart due to a code of conduct matter.
"The OHL understands that the Durham Regional Police Service has closed this matter," said a league statement on Saturday. "The league investigation revealed that Lockhart violated OHL rules and the league’s code of conduct. This is in addition to the findings of a previous Oshawa Generals team investigation that determined the player violated team rules."
No details were announced on how Lockhart violated team and league rules.
Lockhart has not played for the Generals since Jan. 28. The OHL said it determined an eight-game suspension that dates back to their Feb. 1 game is appropriate. That means he can be available to play for the Generals on Saturday against the Erie Otters.
The 21-year-old forward from Ottawa is a former 2021 sixth-round draft pick by the Vancouver Canucks. The team didn't sign Lockhart by June 2023, when his signing rights expired. Through 37 games this season, Lockhart has 21 goals and 46 points.
Oshawa ranks fourth in the OHL's Eastern Conference with a 26-18-7-2 record for 61 points. For more OHL coverage, visit The Hockey News' OHL site.
