PITTSBURGH - Bill Guerin's long wait ended with a trade to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The New York Islanders have dealt their captain to the Penguins for a conditional draft pick.

Guerin sat out the last two games while waiting to be moved. He had to waive a no-trade clause to facilitate the deal.

The 38-year-old had 36 points (16-20) in 61 games with the Islanders this season.

The Penguins will be his eighth NHL team. Guerin has 799 points (403-396) in 1,168 career regular-season games.
