Nashville (17-15-3) at Colorado (18-16-1), 9:00 pm EST

DENVER (Ticker) -- The Nashville Predators look to snap a

five-game road losing streak on Monday when they visit the

Colorado Avalanche, who are without their top two centers.

The Predators' struggles away from the Sommet Center continued

on Sunday as they suffered a 5-2 setback to the Edmonton Oilers.

Martin Erat and defenseman Shea Weber scored for Nashville,

which is 7-11-2 on the road this season.

Fortunately for the Predators, they will not have to deal with

their road woes for a while after Monday's contest. Nashville

will begin a five-game homestand on Thursday.

Despite injuries to captain Joe Sakic and leading-scorer Paul

Stastny, the Avalanche will not provide an easy solution to the

Predators' problems away from home.

Colorado is 10-6-0 at home this season. Wojtek Wolski's

shootout goal lift the Avalanche to a 4-3 victory over the

visiting Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. Wolski improved to

6-of-7 in the bonus format this season.

Stastny, who leads Colorado with 31 points on the campaign, is

out indefinitely with a broken right forearm. The Avalanche

have also been without Sakic, who injured his hand in a snow

blower accident, for the past month.
