Canadian sports network TSN is reporting Adam Mair of the Buffalo Sabres has been fined $2,500 for trying to get at Ottawa Senators players after Monday’s game in Buffalo.
Mair exchanged words with Chris Neil of the Senators and both were assessed misconduct penalties with 1:48 remaining in the third period.
After, Mair headed down to the Sens dressing room, but was stopped by Luke Richardson, Jarkko Ruutu and vice president of communications, Phil Legault.
The $2,500 fine is the most allowed under the current collective bargaining agreement.
