VANCOUVER, B.C. - Defenceman Sami Salo returned to the Vancouver Canucks' lineup for Game 5 of their Western Conference semifinal series against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.

He was on the ice for the game's opening faceoff, paired with Willie Mitchell.

Salo, 34, had missed the last two games in Chicago with an injury. He played only three shifts in Game 2, before leaving with a "lower body" injury soon after scoring the game's first goal.

Salo missed 22 games during the regular season with three groin pulls and a broken rib. In 60 games he had five goals and 20 assists.
