One Sidney Crosby fan now owns a piece of Olympic hockey history after winning a bid on Ebay for a game-worn Olympic jersey. But it didn’t come cheap as the winning bidder put up $37,100.

The Crosby jersey is one of 140 Olympic jerseys going up for auction between May 11 and June 15 with all proceeds being donated to “Hockey for Haiti” a joint initiative between Georges Laraque, the NHLPA and World Vision.

The coveted Crosby jersey was worn during Canada’s 8-2 qualification round victory over Germany.

This week’s jersey bidding began Monday, with team USA’s Patrick Kane and Ryan Miller taking the forefront. Each auction lasts seven days before a new team is featured.
