I just want to say what a great guy Steve Staios is.
I was in the Pro Hockey Life store in Edmonton the day before the 2009 pre-season started and was just about to leave the store when I recognized Staios.
Staios was there just like any other parent buying equipment for his son, when the staff asked him if he would sign some merchandise. Without hesitation Staios agreed.
I quickly asked him if he would sign my hat and again he promptly agreed to.
I just want to thank him for being such a class act and for signing my hat. I wish all athletes were like Steve Staios.
