
The Swift Current Broncos regained second place in the East Division standings with a 4-1 win over the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings.
Swift Current's 13th win of the season moved them a point past Brandon with the Broncos holding a game in hand over the Wheat Kings.
Swift Current import forward David Stieler and defenceman Eric Doyle scored goals 5:56 apart in the middle period to help the Broncos post a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes.
Matt Tassone increased the Broncos lead to 3-1 with a goal 4:51 into the third, and Dale Weise added an empty net goal in the final seconds.
