Even though it isn’t the best conference talent-wise, Atlantic Hockey provided the panel with some of our favorite emblems in the search. There were many strong contenders to deal with and the ranking was not easy.

For a conference in which many of the teams are from Ivy League schools, subtlety clearly rules the day in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference. This makes for very proud and understated emblems, but unfortunately, also very boring ones at the same time. Some teams have embraced the world of logos (Cornell, Quinnipiac) and were dutifully rewarded. Others, which relied on a single letter, were generally relegated to a big, soggy middle.

As for the Western Collegiate Association, this powerhouse conference also had some of the most pro emblems. A high standard was set, which was bad news for those who hadn’t brought their ‘A’ game.
