Boston (26-5-4) at Atlanta (12-19-4), 5:00 p.m. EST

ATLANTA (Ticker) --

When the Boston Bruins first encountered

the Atlanta Thrashers, they were trudging through a pedestrian

start. After a marginal win, they have not looked back.

The torrid Bruins seek their eighth straight victory when they

visit the lowly Thrashers on Sunday.

On October 25, the Bruins improved their record to 3-2-3 with a

5-4 triumph over the Thrashers and have since gone 23-3-1.

Boston is looking to extend its longest run since winning the

final eight games of the 1992-93 season and has a good

opportunity to do so against Atlanta, which has lost twice more

against the Bruins since that defeat in late October.

The Bruins' latest victory came on Saturday, when they cruised

to a 4-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. Blake Wheeler scored

twice and Michael Ryder added what proved to be the game-winner

with 6:14 left in the third period.

Atlanta, meanwhile, has alternated decisions in its last six

games, and is coming off a 5-4 setback against Carolina on

Friday.

Bryan Little recorded his first career hat trick in that

contest, and has five goals in his last two games.
