The hockey federations from Ukraine and Hungary are coming together for a men's exhibition game on April 22, with proceeds from charity tickets going towards raising funds to support Ukrainian ice hockey.
The game will take place at the Vasa Jegzentrum, a rink in the Hungarian capital of Budapest. The ticket acts as a donation and doesn't give the ticket holder access to the game. Tickets can be purchased for the game here.
The two teams met to play for the first time since the Russian invasion on Ukraine began earlier this year. Hungary won the game 3-1. Ukraine will play a pair of games against Ukraine on April 19 and 20 before Ukraine and Hungary's charity game on Friday.
Ukraine will play in the Division IB World Championship tournament in Poland from April 26 to May 1, while Hungary will begin its Division IA tournament shortly after. It'll mark the first World Championship tournament for both nations since the COVID-19 pandemic turned the world upside down in 2020.
