Un-B-lievable extension
Jul 6, 2009
I'm not a fan of these long-term deals where the salaries are front loaded and the cap hit is diminished, but if the NHL can't stop them, it's time the Bruins get in on the action.
I propose Boston immediately sign Zdeno Chara to a 30-year extension - $8 million per for the next seven seasons and $500K per for the 23 after that.
That's a nice tidy cap hit of $2.26 million or so and even if he pulls a Chelios, it's just half a million per season.
