
Team Canada finished last year’s World Junior Championship without a medal for the first time in 15 installments of the tournament. The organization is eager to ensure it doesn’t become a habit, so they instituted some changes. They brought back 2005 and 2006 gold medal winning coach Brent Sutter to lead the team. They also changed up their summer evaluation camp.
After opening the camp in Montreal they travelled to Lake Placid, N.Y., where they played the Americans, Finns and Swedes.
