ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Wild have acquired defenceman Marc-Andre Bergeron from the Anaheim Ducks for a third-round pick in this year's NHL draft.

Bergeron, 27, had 19 points (9-10) in 55 games last season with Anaheim and the New York Islanders.

"Marc-Andre is an offensively skilled defenceman who will add puck-moving ability and a good point shot to our team," Wild president and GM Doug Risebrough said in a release Tuesday.

The five-foot-10, 197-pound native of Trois-Rivieres, Que., has 128 points (48-80) in 267 career games with Edmonton, the Islanders and Anaheim.
