Minnesota (18-16-3) at Colorado (19-18-1), 8:00 p.m. EST

DENVER (Ticker) -- The Minnesota Wild did not fare well on the

road in the month of December. They're hoping things go a

little better in January.

Minnesota opens a four-game road trip on Sunday when it visits

the Colorado Avalanche.

The Wild went 0-6-0 away from home last month, scoring a total

of seven goals in those games. Minnesota was 4-9-1 in the month

overall.

The club could not begin January on the right foot as it fell to

Detroit, 3-2, in a shootout on Saturday. Pavel Datsyuk scored

the lone goal in the bonus format.

Owen Nolan scored for the sixth time in eight games in the loss

for Minnesota, which has split its two meetings with Colorado

this season.

The Avalanche have dropped two straight and were pounded, 6-1,

by the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday.

Darcy Tucker scored the lone goal for Colorado, which has not

scored on its last 15 power-play opportunities.
