The Minnesota Wild placed 24-year-old Pierre-Marc Bouchard on injured reserve.

Bouchard notched two assists in the Wild's first game of the year, a win against Boston. But he has been sidelined with back spasms ever since.

Originally selected in the first round, eighth overall in the 2002 draft by Minnesota, Bouchard scored a career-high 63 points in 81 games last season. He has 61 goals and 223 points in 355 games.
