NHL not grabbing America's attention

The NHL doesn't get it.

(Most) fans want more scoring. The NHL shoots itself in the foot depriving fans of the most exciting moment in hockey. The stars can't be stars, the goalie equipment is ridiculous and most of the goals have to come on power plays, deflected shots and screens.

The NBA and NFL get it, fans want scoring or we get bored. The NHL can say everything is great, but they will continue to be ignored and irrelevant in the US and the butt of jokes in the US media.
