DETROIT - Gustav Nyquist had two goals and an assist, and the Detroit Red Wings beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 on Sunday in the final pre-season game for both teams.

Johan Franzen added a goal and two assists, Todd Bertuzzi also had two assists, and Jimmy Howard made 25 saves for Detroit (4-3-1).

Paul Martin and Tyler Kennedy scored and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 15 shots for the Penguins (5-1).

Detroit forward Patrick Eaves sustained an undisclosed lower body injury and didn't return after he appeared to block Steve Sullivan's shot with his right knee in the first period.
