    Phoenix (8-10-2) at Columbus (9-8-3) 7:00 p.m. EST

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Coyotes are sinking.

The Coyotes look to avoid a winless road trip when they wrap up

their four-game swing against the Columbus Blue Jackets on

    Wednesday.

Enver Lisin scored the lone goal for Phoenix on Monday as the

team endured a 4-1 rout against the New York Rangers, falling to

0-4-2 over its last six games. The Coyotes are 0-2-1 on their

recent road trip and two points ahead of the Dallas Stars

(6-10-4) for last place in the Western Conference.

Offense has been the biggest problem for Phoenix, which ranks

26th in the NHL with 48 goals. The Coyotes have been outscored,

    23-10, during this skid.

"I can see they are getting a little bit frustrated," Phoenix

coach Wayne Gretzky said. "We can't seem to find ways to score

    goals right now."

The Blue Jackets needed only a little offense during their last

game as rookie goaltender Steve Mason record his first career

shutout en route to a 2-0 victory against the Atlanta Thrashers

    on Saturday.

Mason turned aside 15 shots, captain Rick Nash scored and R.J.

Umberger added an empty-net goal for Columbus, which has won

    five of eight.
