Oilers defenceman Visnovsky will miss rest of season due to shoulder injury
EDMONTON - Edmonton Oilers defenceman Lubomir Visnovsky will undergo shoulder surgery this week and miss the rest of the season.
Doctors will repair the labrum in his right shoulder on Thursday, a team spokesman said Tuesday. Visnovsky suffered the injury in Edmonton's 3-1 home loss to Chicago on Feb. 3 and went on the injured reserve list two days later.
He has eight goals and 23 points in 50 games this season.
