Oilers forward Ryan Smyth to return to lineup following wrist injury
The star winger was cleared to skate against the Los Angeles Kings after he worked out in practice with a plastic splint under his glove. Smyth was hurt Dec. 2 in a game against Columbus when he fell awkwardly into the end boards.
Despite the setback, Smyth still leads the Oilers in goals scored with 16.
His return is a much-needed boost for the Oilers, who have lost three of their last four games and have tumbled to seventh place in the Western Conference.
