Omark dominates with five goals as Barons win 7-6 over Marlies in shootout

OKLAHOMA CITY - Linus Omark scored five goals in regulation and one in the shootout to power the Oklahoma City Barons in a 7-6 victory over the Toronto Marlies on Sunday in the AHL.

Omark, an Edmonton Oilers prospect, put on an incredible offensive display to keep his team in the game, including scoring with 47 seconds left while on the power play to send the game into overtime.

The 23-year-old Swedish winger finished the game with 12 shots on goal and a plus-3 rating. He now has 10 goals on the season.

Liam Reddox had Oklahoma City's (9-5-1) other regulation goal to go with three assists, while Teemu Hartikainen and Milan Kytnar had shootout markers.

Six Toronto players had a goal and an assist: Nazem Kadri, Joey Crabb, Mike Zigomanis, Jay Rosehill, Matt Lashoff and Darryl Boyce.

Kadri and Josh Engel had goals in the shootout for the Marlies (4-6-2), while James Reimer made 44 saves from 50 shots.
