On the Attack

Bob Severs, Owen Sound, Ont.

As the president of the Attack, I really enjoyed Ryan Dixon's article "Re-adjust Your Radar" in the Feb. 1 edition of The Hockey News. Owen Sound of the Ontario League takes great pride in the accomplishments of Mark Giordano and Wayne Simmonds, two of our alumni mentioned in the article.

Both of these fine young men were passed over in their OHL draft year and then came later to the Attack through the insight and vision of Mike Futa and Ian McLellan, who led our scouting at the time.

Mike and Ian recognized unlimited potential in Mark and Wayne when so many others had not.

Both of these young men have gone on to overcome their late starts to take their game to the highest level and our organization could not be more proud of them.
