O'Ree honor should have received more attention

Without trying to take away from the events to honor Willie O'Ree, I'm disappointed in the NHL and the media who could have gone another step.

I think this was an event and game that could have, and should have, been given more attention and been available to TV viewers, especially to people like myself from Mr. O'Ree's hometown.

No network televised the game and the events were given little attention on the sports news channels, so unless you had the Centre Ice package you never saw any of the events or game.

I really think the NHL should have shown the game nationally and missed out on an opportunity to really honor a great man for what he's accomplished.

This was a real missed opportunity in my eyes.
