Ottawa Senators assign left-winger Nick Foligno to AHL affiliate

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators assigned rookie left-winger Nick Foligno to Binghamton of the American Hockey League on Wednesday.

Foligno, 19, had two goals and six penalty minutes in 14 games this season.

He was second in team scoring with the Ontario Hockey League's Sudbury Wolves last season, when he had 31 goals and 57 assists for 88 points.

Foligno was selected by Ottawa in the first round (28th overall) of the 2006 NHL entry draft.
