Ottawa Senators recall forward Ryan Shannon from Binghamton

OTTAWA - The struggling Ottawa Senators recalled right-winger Ryan Shannon from the team's American Hockey League affiliate Wednesday.

Shannon played two games for Ottawa earlier this season, recording one assist.

He is currently tied for the Binghamton Senators' scoring lead with 35 points, despite missing 11 games.

Shannon won the 2007 Stanley Cup as a member of the Anaheim Ducks, who beat Ottawa in five games.

In 82 career NHL games, Shannon has seven goals, 18 assists and 34 penalty minutes.

Ottawa currently sits 13th in Eastern Conference.
