Ottawa Senators send goaltender Mike Brodeur back to Binghamton of AHL

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators re-assigned goaltender Mike Brodeur to Binghamton of the American Hockey League on Friday.

Brodeur was recalled Thursday on an emergency basis to replace the injured Pascal Leclaire.

The 27-year-old served as a backup to Brian Elliott in Ottawa's 2-1 over the Predators in Nashville.

He was first recalled to backup Elliott in Ottawa's 3-2 loss to the Washington Capitals on Dec. 19.
