Ouelett, Derlago led the way as Manitoba beats Manchester 3-2

WINNIPEG - Michel Ouellet and Mark Derlago each had a goal and an assist to lead the Manitoba Moose to a 3-2 win over the Manchester Monarchs on Wednesday night in the American Hockey League.

Ouellet's goal on a power-play in the final minute of the first period stood as the game winner for the Moose (20-7-0-0), who reached the 20-win plateau in the fewest number of games in AHL history. Veteran captain Mike Keane had the other goal for Manitoba in front of 6,099 fans at the MTS Centre.

Ryan Murphy and Scott Parse replied for the Monarchs (12-12-0-4).

Karl Goehring earned his 10th win of the season with a 28-save effort for Manitoba.

Jeff Zatkoff turned aside 19 shots in defeat for Manchester.
