Outdated all-stars

Why must the NHL make its all-star balloting so rigid? Because of its feudalistic structure, this season's ballot prevented me from voting for Michal Rozsival and Paul Ranger in the East as well as Patrick Kane and Chris Osgood in the West.

Certainly arguments could be made for all-star selections of the aforementioned players. However, the ballot was more than willing to let me vote for players such as Dan Boyle, Martin Havlat and Sheldon Souray who've hardly played this season.

I'm surprised I didn't see Patrick Roy or Mario Lemieux on it. Could the league please watch some of the current season before deciding who they put on the ballot?
