Washington (13-7-3) at Columbus (9-10-3), 7:00 pm EST

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Despite their impressive overall

record, the Washington Capitals have struggled on the road.

Alex Ovechkin is just the player to help them get back to their

    winning ways.

The reigning Hart Trophy winner, Ovechkin looks to extended his

10-game points streak and help the Capitals end a three-game

skid on the road when they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets on

    Saturday.

Ovechkin enters with a 10-game point streak after scoring in a

3-0 home win over the Montreal Canadiens on Friday. After

recording eight points in the season's first 11 contests, the

Russian superstar has 11 goals and 11 assists during his current

    run.

He also has a goal and two assists during the Capitals' skid on

the road, one that saw them outscored, 16-7, by the Los Angeles

Kings, San Jose Sharks and Minnesota Wild.

Hoping to extend its overall two-game win streak, Washington is

17-1-1 in its last 10 games - including last season - when

    Ovechkin scores.

The Blue Jackets have dropped two straight and four of five.

They are coming off a 5-3 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on

Friday and a 3-2 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes two nights earlier.

Captain Rick Nash has been held off the scoresheet in two

straight contests after posting a five-game points streak.
