Tomas Kopecky had the winner in the Florida Panthers' 3-2 shootout win over the Washington Capitals Friday.

The 10-round affair is the latest lengthy shootout this season.

On Dec. 3, the Los Angeles Kings outlasted the Anaheim Ducks in a nine-rounder in which Dwight King had the only goal of the shootout. Martin Jones bested Jonas Hiller in net, stopping all nine shooters he faced.

Still, Jones' blanking of the Ducks doesn't compare to the goaltending clinic Toronto's James Reimer and Buffalo's Jonas Enroth put on during a 15-round shootout in the pre-season. The pair turned away 29 shooters between them until Jay McClement scored to give the Maple Leafs a 3-2 win over the Sabres.

That 15-round shootout matched the record mark set by the Capitals and New York Rangers Nov. 26, 2005, when Marek Malik scored what remains perhaps the most famous shootout goal in NHL history.
