Panthers eye third straight win

Buffalo (11-10-3) at Florida (10-11-3), 7:30 p.m. EST

SUNRISE, Florida (Ticker) -- The Florida Panthers will go for

their season-high third straight win when they host the Buffalo

Sabres on Thursday.

Inconsistent for much of the season, the Panthers are coming off

just their third set of back-to-back victories.

Florida blanked the New York Rangers, 4-0, on Sunday and

defeated Washington, 5-3, on Tuesday.

Radek Dvorak and Gregory Campbell each recorded a goal and an

assist in Tuesday's victory for Florida, which can also climb

back to .500 for the first time since it was 4-4-0 on October 25

with another win.

Following consecutive victories, the Sabres have lost

back-to-back games, including a 2-0 blanking by Nashville on

Monday.

Buffalo, which is opening a three-game road trip, has lost four

straight road contests and has not won away from home since

November 3.
