Panthers place RW Steve Bernier and LW Rostislav Olesz on injured list

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers forwards Steve Bernier and Rostislav Olesz are going on the injured list.

The Panthers also recalled defencemen Keaton Ellerby and Joe Callahan from Rochester of the American Hockey League on Wednesday.

Bernier underwent surgery after breaking an orbital bone when he was punched by Minnesota's Brett Burns at the end of a game on Nov. 12 game. Burns was given a two-game suspension by the NHL.

Olesz broken a middle finger when he was hit by a puck in Boston on Nov. 18.

Ellerby had three assists and a plus-5 rating in seven games this season. Callahan had one goal and five assists in 20 games with Rochester. He has played 10 games in the NHL with the New York Islanders (2008-09) and San Jose (2009-10).
