Parise, Devils hope to keep rolling vs. woeful Islanders

New Jersey (38-18-3) at NY Islanders (17-35-6), 7:00 pm EST

UNIONDALE, New York (Ticker) -- All-Star Zach Parise and the New

Jersey Devils will try to continue their winning ways against

the NHL's worst team.

Parise looks to lead the Devils to their fifth win in six games

when they visit the lowly New York Islanders on Saturday in a

battle of Atlantic Division rivals.

New Jersey, which has won 14 of its previous 17 contests, did

not let an early deficit stop its recent trend Thursday. Patrik

Elias scored the game-winning goal in the second round of

a shootout, lifting the Devils to a 3-2 triumph over the Tampa

Bay Lightning.

Parise also registered his team-leading 35th goal of the season

in the third period and Brian Rolston scored in regulation for

New Jersey, which faced a two-goal deficit after the opening

session.

The Islanders are hoping to avoid their third straight loss

following Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Since its season-high four-game winning streak, New York has

posted a 1-6-1 record over its last eight contests.
